Two bucks? Guess it wasn’t a best seller.
Far as I know she has never publicly dished on Farrells. Don’t forget, she was also the only female member of the Rat Pack so Farrells might not have affected her much.

  2. Maureen Rice (Flanagan) says:

although none of us are famous…there are other women who were served in Farrell’s before Ms McLaine….js 🙂

Maybe it’s one of those “urban myths?”

      • Willy Wickham says:

They always served women at the tables. I am not sure if even Pete Hamill ever claimed that she was the first to be served at the bar with the boys. If the bartender hesitated it might have been because he was thinking, “Tell me that’s not Shirley MacLaine”.

      • Red says:

We need Pat Fenton to ask Pete what really went down that night…

  3. Maureen Rice (Flanagan) says:

I should have said..”at the bar”…strange things can happen late at night on 9th Ave and 16th St…

  4. DON CUSH says:

It was not a myth. I stopped in for a Container on the night ,Ms. Maclaine was served at Farrells. I don’t remember much other than the commotion and the crowd outside
