Last night I was looking forward to watching ’60 Minutes’ on CBS. Reason being, Al Pacino was going to be interviewed (despite Katie Couric doing the interview, it turned out pretty good)
Pacino is one of my favorite actors of all-time. It probably started when he filmed Dog Day Afternoon on 9th avenue.
But anyway, as I tuned in at 7:00 PM, waiting to see the show, CBS was televising Golf.
I understand sporting events go a bit over their time frame but I don’t mind when it’s football. Often times a game between a West Coast team will run a little late and I have to wait a bit. No worries…
Last night golf ended at 8:20!
Come on man.
I never understood the interest in this game. Yeah, yeah, I understand the fascination with Tiger Woods and all, blah, blah, blah…
Did anyone play it back in the neighborhood? Did Holy Name have a golf team? Where did they practice, the lot on 16th street?
What’s so interesting about playing a game where you hit a ball and then you walk after it?
Yes. yes, I know, you’re going to tell me I should try it, it’s very relaxing. Or, it’s a good place to make a business deal. I get all that. But you will never catch me on a golf course wasting all that valuable time. Plus, the attire is not happening for me.
