    I had heard that the Pope is really from Brooklyn, and that he used to work as a bouncer down in the Caton Inn on Coney Island Avenue.

    No, that never happened, Steve. Actually, he was a very progressive guy for a bouncer. He never threw anyone out of the Caton Inn.
    In fact, he believed in throwing people into the Caton Inn. Some of them would be just walking by, minding their own business. Eventually, they had to let him go.
