The Yankees took it on the chin last night in the Motor City and now trail 0-3 in their best-of-seven against the Tigers.

Joe Girardi sat Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher.

New York is  hitting a collective .182 with five runs scored in three games vs Detroit.  All on the strength of HR’s.

The Yankees have scored in only 2 of 30 innings.

Things don’t look so good for the men in pinstripes and I don’t think Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle or Thurman Munson are walking on that field tonight.

As a Met fan, I don’t care. As a baseball fan, I like the Yanks chances with CC going in game 4. He’s big time clutch. Great hitters like Cano and A-Rod can explode at any time.

as a brooklyn dodger fan who saw the yankees ruin many autumns, except the glorious ’55, in the 50s, they can’t lose often enough

And CC is not going today. A-Rod is the prince of insignifigance. He hits a home run when they are winning 8-0 in the 9th.
Poor swish is going to be the goat when the air clears.
Cano is known to be a non contributor at play off time.
They need to get new blood. Bottom line is nobody is doing
anything to help the cause especially the pitching staff.

CC is going today versus Schwerzer. And the Yanks are getting older all at once. I always thought A-Rod went for the money instead of taking less money, going to a contender, and staying at short. Cano is going to come out of his slump big time. As Jim Casey said, they can’t lose enough.. I have had Ynakee players I liked, Guidry, Hunter, Mattingly but I cannot root for them. My family roots are with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
I always pick a team to root for when my teams are not in it and my Mets were out of it early. I am rooting for the Cards and Tigers with the Tigers to win it all..

I am friends with a lot of Tigers fans; they are good people. Loyal and passionate and hard-working. Blue collar type.
