Quote of the Day
“A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.”
-John Barrymore
What do I have in common with Prince, Allen Iverson, Tom Jones, James Braddock, Thurman Munson, Anna Kournikova, Bill Hader, and Dean Martin?

We were all born on this day, June 7th.
Have you ever heard the expression, “you’re only as old as you feel“?
Well it’s true!
This morning I woke up a little earlier with an extra bounce in my step.
Today I turn 48 and I just can’t believe it.
I mean when I was a young kid hanging out on 9th avenue, I had no clue what it would be like to be 48.
Age is just a number, right?
Long as you feel good, what does it matter how old you are?
Sure the hair is disappearing, getting grey and well, the skin changes with each day; but that sort of stuff doesn’t bug me.
To me, it’s all about getting up every morning and having something meaningful to do.
It’s about kicking ass everyday and living life to its fullest.
It’s about learning and growing!
Each day it’s about understanding people, treating people right and keep on keepin’ on.
48?
WOW!
I am pinching myself this morning…

Don’t pinch yourself too much – you’ll leave a bruise and they don’t disappear as quickly as they used to! Have a great day Steve, and as always, thanks for the Diaries!

Happy Birthday, Steve- when I think I wanna complain about getting older, I stop and think of all the people in my life who never had that opportunity- and then I just STFU!

Happy B Day, hoopscoach. I turned 47 in April, and the key to me feeling alright is focusing on what I do have and NOT on what I don’t have. Count the things that I feel grateful for and it’s amazing how much better I feel. Enjoy number 48 and keep kicking butt!!!

Have a wonderful birthday, Steve. And keep keeping our old neighborhood alive on Container Diaries. Sadly, most old neighborhoods just fade away with time. Not ours. And you’re a big part of that.
