Each and every morning I am in charge of getting our 12 year-old daughter Taylor up and ready for school.

It’s probably the toughest time of the day for her.

Do you remember waking up as a kid?

Was it hard?

Did someone get you up or did you have an alarm clock?

We lived on the corner of 9th avenue and Windsor Place, right across the street from school.

One thing that haunts me today is that I was late for school more than any kid in the history of Holy Name!

There was no “morning person” in our family; everyone was a night owl.

It wasn’t until adulthood that I realized the importance of rising early and getting after it at the crack of dawn.

Respectfully,

Steve
