Jimmy Vac – sorry, it was Joe Cronin I was thinking about, not Kevin. He would have graduated HN in 1971. Cronin and Alberti were by far two strongest in our grade, however I saw Frankie Caputo lose it once and I think he could have beaten up Mike Tyson at that point.

Joe Harouni, there’s a name I haven’t heard for a while. Joe was a great guy. Big dude (in 7th at least)

These days I too feel a deep connection to people that I see in the neighborhood that are long time residents even though if I was not that close to them in the years past. I knew people from “the distance” and now there’s a warmth and sincerity that the long time residents now exchange. As everyone knows the neighborhood has gentrified and there’s so many “new” people in the area so its nice to see a familar face1

I like things that are on sale. When I was younger, it never crossed my mind. Now, I clip coupons and check the sale rack/table.

Juggy told a great story about when his mother and aunt went to visit him in Naples and packed two pot roasts with them. When he asked his aunt why they didn’t wait until they got to Florida to buy them, his aunt looked at him like he was crazy and informed him that they had been on sale!!

Good guess. How are you, man? You kept me up all night last night reading some of this stuff. I can be living on the other side of the world, but I know where I come from and where I grew up. I’m proud to say I grew up in the Holy Name parish. So many memories and good friends! Some have passed I see and I’m sadden by that.

You take care and keep this going. It brings back some great memories! The best to you and yours!!
